The final night of Women Outside Adventure Forum is Hike the Line, a film about Tenny and Claire’s historic thru-hike of the US/Mexico border. Limited seats are available and tickets include 1 drink and hors d’oeuvres.
Tenny Ostrem and Claire Wernstedt-Lynch completed the first “thru-hike” of the US/Mexico border this year, walking from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico, and crossing through four states, several cities, a national park, and numerous small towns. Over the course of their 6-month trip, they encountered people, organizations and physical landscapes that challenged their stereotypes of the border and those of their friends and families back home. Their goal was to focus on the positive and human aspects of an area often overlooked in our contentious political discourse and to walk peacefully and with humility and respect for different voices.
