Topic: Best for Colorado is a free program that teaches all Colorado businesses how to create higher-quality jobs, build stronger communities, and preserve a healthier environment. In this GBR, learn about all things “B”: B Corps, B Lab, and Benefit Corporations, what the Best for Colorado Challenge is, and how to use Best for Colorado to improve your business.
Speaker: Kiki Hooton received her B.S. in Environmental Technology and Management from North Carolina State University and her Masters in Sustainability Solutions with a focus in Business from Arizona State University. She has worked as a consultant for B Corps in both North Carolina and in Arizona, a Sustainability Analyst for the City of Tempe, and a Sustainability Consultant for the Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiative. She now serves as the Americorps VISTA for Local First.
The Green Business Roundtable (GBR) is one of the most innovative and successful lunchtime networking events in Durango. Routinely attended by business leaders, elected officials, and influential community members, GBR inspires forward-thinking discussions on timely issues affecting our region. Local, regional, and national speakers engage the community in a diverse array of topics at the crossroads of business, the regional economy, and environmental stewardship. It is held on the second Wednesday of the month, September to April, at the Henry Strater Theater.
