1. Emissions Inventory Work Group

Role: Determine protocol and update emissions inventory; recommend update frequency, such as every five years

Deliverable: Updated Emissions Inventory

2. Reduction Targets Work Group

 Role: Evaluate impact assessments, emissions inventory, and recommended action plan proposals to recommend realistic GHG emission reduction targets

Deliverable: Reduction Targets Recommendations

3. Climate Change Preparation Work Group

Role: Assess climate change vulnerability and risks, includes water adaptation

Deliverable: Climate Change Preparedness Plan

4. Scientific, Technical, and Analysis Advisory Work Group

Role: Advise the CAP Steering Committee and Work Groups on the scientific and technical aspects of climate change. Assist work groups in estimating GHG emission reduction potential and estimating the costs of potential reductions taking into account costs to the county, homeowner or business, available utility rebates and the economic benefit to the community of energy cost savings.

Deliverable: Climate change impact assessments; Summary of data analysis and basis of estimates

5. Agriculture, Forestry and Waste Management GHG Mitigation Work Group

Role: Evaluate and develop mitigation strategies to reduce GHG emissions

Deliverable:  Action plan recommendations with estimated costs and reduction potentials.

6. Energy Supply GHG Mitigation Work Group

Role: Evaluate and develop mitigation strategies to reduce GHG emissions

Deliverable: Action plan recommendations with estimated costs and reduction potentials.

7. Residential, Commercial, and Industrial GHG Mitigation Work Group

Role: Evaluate and develop mitigation strategies to reduce GHG emissions

Deliverable:  Action plan recommendations with estimated costs and reduction potentials.

8. Transportation and Land Use GHG Mitigation Work Group

Role: Evaluate and develop mitigation strategies to reduce GHG emissions

Deliverable:  Action plan recommendations with estimated costs and reduction potentials.
